REVIEW for The IBS Healing Plan

  • TITLE: The IBS Healing PLan
  • AUTHOR: Theresa Cheung
  • DATE: May 2008
  • GENRE: Natural Healing (IBS)
  • RATING: 3.5 Stars (a good buy)

I was asked by: http://www.resmarketingalliance.com/ to review this book and here is my review.

I had been hearing about IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) for a few years now and never really bothered about it until a friend was diagnosed with it

IBS is more common than I would have believed and it is found in both men and women and can show up at any age - yet, not much is actually understood about it, from the medical professional's point of view anyway. Because there are currently no "tests" available to determine if you suffer from the condition - there appears to be alot of misinformation about it out there.

Theresa Cheung has written a wonderful book on the subject, which will immediately shed some much-needed light on this condition. "The IBS Healing Plan", Natural Ways to Beat your Symptoms has been a blessing and a joy to read.Although this book is short (it only has 160 pages), it covers all of the important aspects of living with IBS and it does it in a clear, concise, informative way. Thank goodness there is no boring medical jargon - and the book is divided between real-life experiences and detailed chapters taking a closer look at various subjects related to the life experiences.

The book starts off with the facts and gives some startling statistics. Then proceeds to help you determine if you may be suffering from IBS by giving a list of symptoms. A little further along, you will find a more detailed look at issues such as diet and there is even a section on vegetarianism. The natural healing plan suggests incorporating stress management techniques and explains these techniques, it also suggests simple exercises that can be done from home (complete with diagrams) and even takes a detailed look at the natural ways to remove the pain caused by some of the symptoms.

This book was extremely informative and although it is geared towards IBS sufferers, really this book can be used by anyone who would like to improve their eating habits and their living habits.
