Thank you to FSB Associates for sending me a copy of this book.
TITLE: Domestic Affairs
AUTHOR: Bridget Siegel
GENRE: Chick Lit
RATING:
I really enjoyed this novel which engrossed me thanks to the speed the storyline takes right from the beginning.
I am not all that familiar with American politics, but for some reason, I love a good novel that delves into the processes of American politics. This book certainly has that and, as a bonus - its kind of chick lit oriented thanks to the main character, Olivia Greenley.
The story opens up with Olivia doing the "walk of shame" from one hotel room to the other and goes on from there.
The twists and turns politicians take are clearly written about her and form the basis for the development of the story, as Olivia tries to battle all the ups and downs that are thrown at her - while looking for love.
The only complaint I have - there is alot going on in this novel and sometimes, I found myself having to re-read some passages in order to find my way around.
