Truth or Dare is the perfect book for me - edgy, entertaining and daring.
There is a dark side to this storyline - starting with the drowning of girls in the town of Echo Bay and ending with Caitlin, Tenley and Sydney who suddenly find themselves in a game of Truth or Dare that quickly gets out of control.
What I liked about this book is basically two things - 1) the buildup of the mystery aspect of this storyline is cool. There is an edge to the book that you pick up on right from the beginning and its a bit creepy. 2) there is also a very obvious backstory message here of what life can be as a young adult, especially if you find yourself in a situation(s) that gets out of control. Fitting in and being part of the "gang" is also explored here - without ever being overbearing or underhanded.
As for the main story - its engrossing and I found myself hooked.

This sounds like a book I'd like too. I enjoy YA as long as it's realistic.
