RANDOM THOUGHTS on New York City

I was taking a look at some pictures I took, while in NYC and wondering why I did not take more??? It somehow seems as though there was so much going on that taking the camera out of my bag (which is always a challenge in itself) never seemed to enter my mind.

I did, however, find these pictures and thought I would load them on here as my final posting on my NYC trip (at least for a while).

Walking along Lexington Street and looked up and there is was! - I had to take a picture!

I like this picture and it is thanks to Cindy who took the picture! This is on the ferry, heading to Ellis Island. It was actually FREEZING on the ferry and I, of course, did not think to bring a sweater!!! The trip was a little nutty as the ferry was completely packed with people - this shot is after we dropped off a ton of them that were heading to the Statue of Liberty, which we chose not to visit. The line to get onto the ferry was about 2.5 hours long - had it not been for Cindy, I would have walked away and missed the occasion of visiting Ellis Island which I loved.

The hallowed halls of the Rgistration Hall at Ellis Island...

I think my Friday, visiting Ellis Island and Battery Park (near the site of the Twin Towers) was probably my favorite sightseeing day. Cindy and I had a nice, relaxing day and stumbled across a group of brothers, performing a great stunt at Battery Park - exactly the type of thing you read about in New York City and it was wonderful! Here is a video I found on YOUTUBE if you are interested http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9lH3klSVN8. My favorite line: "Please don't hesitate to donate as much as you can to our show because if you do, it will keep us out of two houses - The Poor House and YOUR HOUSE! It was hysterical and, in fact, Cindy even caught the eye of one of the performers (nuff! said)....

The impressive Statue of Liberty. Interestingly, I did not think I would be moved by the sight, but I was.

My favorite place in the world!!!

CELEBRITY SIGHTINGS AT BEA

RICK SPRINGFIELD (Dr. Noah Drake- General Hospital) looking sexy.

KRISTIAN ALFONSO (Hope Williams Brady - Days of our Lives) looking skinny as hell. Despite the fact that I have lost over 100lbs, I took one look at her and felt like a big, fat pig, all over again *sigh*.

I can't believe I have already been back, from New York City, for almost 3 weeks. In some ways, the time has simply flown by and in others - not so much!

Some of my fellow Montreal bloggers are already talking about BEA and NYC next year, but since I don't know what is going on, career wise, with me right now, I am going to have to put THAT ON on ice for now :)

I hardly took any photos either! Definitely something to rectify in future years. By the way, there's something wonky about that second photo: I can barely see it (it's way over to the right, with only a tiny bit of it showing), which is a shame because it's such a great pic of you!
