REVIEW for Second Time Around

Thank you to AVON UK for sending me a copy of this book.

TITLE:              Second Time Around

AUTHOR:        Erin Kaye

GENRE:           Contemporary fiction

Let me start off by saying that this is not really a chick lit book – which is okay, but I found myself having to change my mindset as I delved deeper into the storyline.

This story is about discovering that life has a wicked sense of humor and that you have a path in life to follow – which is a life lesson that both Jennifer and her daughters soon come to learn.

I love that Jennifer is such a smart and strong character – all the while clearly displaying her flaws and cracks.  She wants to be happy but is petrified to ‘go for it’ because the cards she has been dealt do not happen to ‘neatly’ fit into the life she has always believed in.

When a much younger man enters he life and she falls for him, this will set off a series of events that will be enticing, scary and challenging.  Emotions that will be felt by everyone involved, including Jennifer’s two daughters.

This book made me realize just how connected we are all to each other and that when one domino falls over there, there is a reaction all the way of here.

Intertwined with this is a beautifully written love stories that will melt your heart and make you wish for true love.

I enjoyed this book immensely and found myself rooting for everyone here

This sounds great even if it wasn't what you were expecting.
