REVIEW for Forever Friends

A huge thank you goes out to Niamh at Poolberg Press for sending this book along to me!

TITLE: Forever Friends

AUTHOR: Kate McCabe
GENRE: Contemporary/chick lit fiction

RATING: 3 Stars

Poolberg Press is actually an Irish publishing house that I have recently discovered - they have good chick lit and Forever Friends is a good read.

Forever Friends introduces us to Maddy Pritchard who is my kind of main character. She is tough and believes she can do everything that her male counterparts can do - and she sets out to prover herself in the highly challenging world of high finance (can you say: "old boy's networks!!!"). Except that she is also looking for love and finds it then all of a sudden, it is taken away - and this coincides (or because of it?) her life starts falling apart. However, Maddy will no go down without a fight.

Surrounded by good friends, this is the story of a girl who finds her strength inside. This is the story of what true friends really mean to our lives - and this is the story of survival and rebirth.

It is highly inspirational and I loved the writing. This is not really a chick lit book per say because there is an overall tone of serious that is not usually found in chick lit books - however, it is a book for women - about women and I felt empowered reading it.

This was a good read.

I love books about women's friendships so this sounds good to me.
