REVIEW for Ink is Thicker than Water
TITLE: Ink is Thicker than Water
AUTHOR: Amy Spalding
GENRE: YA
RATING:
Sara and Kellie - to me, these were the main characters of this novel - driving it with life lessons that are hard to experience, but must be.
This YA novel is about growing up and looking at your life and wondering if the grass is truly greener on the other side.
Sara and Kellie are sisters who experience completely different altering events - helping Kellie better understand where she is in life and more importantly, who she is.
I liked the main theme and the author even throws in a little love story, but the heart of this book is about discovering who you are and that it is rarely better on the other side.
At times, I found the writing a bit slow, giving too much detail about unimportant things, but otherwise, a wonderful read for all YA and adults as well.

Unnecessary details can drive me bonkers but this book sounds good in spite of them.
